Tropical Tea Blend

Mura has created a beautiful tea that not only tastes great but has a whole range of health benefits too.

Our Exotic Tea Blend contains pineapple, papaya, mango, rosehip, ginger, lemon peel and peppermint. Sounds too good to drink right? You could eat that!

All of these ingredients work to give you a tea that aids digestion, lifts your mood and provides you with valuable antioxidants.

The fruits in the tea contain enzymes known as proteases which help break down protein. Pineapple and papaya are well known for their enzymes bromelain and papain. Mango and lemon also contain beneficial enzymes. As we age and when we don’t have optimum health we don’t produce enough enzymes ourselves to help us digest our food. This can leave us feeling bloated and uncomfortable after eating. Good digestion is essential to help the body absorb all the nutrients it needs from the food we eat.

Ginger is a wonderful herb and very comforting to drink in winter too. It can help settle the digestive system down, reducing flatulence and easing indigestion. Ginger increases circulation in the body which not only warms us up but can help ease inflammation and aid our immune defences.

Peppermint is another addition to the blend which aids digestion and settles the digestive system down. It is a great herb to include in your diet regularly if you have irritable bowel syndrome.

If all of the above benefits weren’t enough for you, the tea also provides vitamins and antioxidants. Vitamin C found in the fruits and the Rosehip is essential for fantastic skin and boosting our immune system. Antioxidants help our bodies deal with free radicals which cause mayhem with our cells and compromise our health. Antioxidants help neutralise these free radical molecules before they can do even more damage. It is believed that antioxidants play a role in many diseases such as heart and liver disease and even cancer.

So the Mura Exotic Tea Blend offers more than a simple cup of tea. Drink regularly (especially in place of caffeine and sugar loaded takeaways!) and you will be looking after your digestive, immune, and circulatory systems not to mention helping your skin look great!
